At the end of 2017, The Daily Constitutional's editor Adam looks back at his walking & blogging London year…

5,900 acres of ancient woodland managed by the City of London, the Epping Forest is London's largest green space – ideal for camping and cycling.
The camping trip was terrific fun - and this comes from an irredeemable towny who breaks out in a rash if kept away from London for too long. We had nine kids running wild, several grown-ups run ragged, no rain (!), football, tree swings and a sing-along by the camp fire. As you can see from the pic, my singing cleared the whole field

The cycling was fun, too…

The guys at Go Further Cycling were helpful and friendly - go and see them! Their bike hire service couldn't be any simpler and it's a great way to see the forest. Here's their website: www.gofurthercycling.co.uk/The great outdoors is just at the end of the Central Line!
Back in town, it was Fathers' Day in June and my Rock'n'Roll London Fathers' Day Special offered FREE walks for dads! It was a greatly enjoyable afternoon and I was joined by my own daughter who made a movie of the whole affair…
Afterwards I hit the hard stuff at Poppies in Old Compton Street… The Daily Constitutional Editor's Diary 2017 June: Wonder Woman, Camping, Cycling, The Epping Forest, Pink Floyd & Cream Soda More filming in June when Jon Klein shot my Rock'n'Roll London Pub Walk with LIVE Music. Jon is an excellent fella, and an exceptionally talented filmmaker. Over the past few years he has made a great many promos for London Walks (most recently the Jack the Ripper film). As a musician he also composed the soundtrack for the Rock'n'Roll film - I love his little parodic flourishes. Here's the finished article…

In June my special Pink Floyd London tour took place and I had the pleasure to be in the company of both hardcore Pink Floyd fans and London Walkers who were keen to find out a bit more about the band that was the subject of the biggest and fastest selling exhibition in the history of the V&A.

As you can see from my in-tray…
The Daily Constitutional Editor's Diary 2017 June: Wonder Woman, Camping, Cycling, The Epping Forest, Pink Floyd & Cream Soda … I spent a LOT of time with The Floyd this year researching, writing and curating the walk. For a music nerd such as I, it was a LOT of fun.
Thanks to my colleague and chum Andrew Lukas for tagging along on the walk and for being so supportive and encouraging and for taking this photo…
The Daily Constitutional Editor's Diary 2017 June: Wonder Woman, Camping, Cycling, The Epping Forest, Pink Floyd & Cream Soda June also saw BBC Music Day – 45 new music-themed plaques were placed all over the UK. Here's what a plaque looks like the night BEFORE the unveiling
