The Calgary Stampede Turns up the Volume with an Expanded Festival-style Lineup on the Coca-Cola Stage

This year's Coca-Cola Stage contains the biggest lineup they've ever had performing at the Calgary Stampede. Featuring Alessia Cara, The Strumbellas, Nelly Furtado, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals & many more, the new & expanded lineup will have music fans rocking through the day & into the night.

This year's Calgary Stampede Coca-Cola Stage is set to deliver as one of the largest Canadian music festivals of 2017. Featuring local, national and international performers, the new and expanded lineup will have music fans rocking through the day and into the night.

"We have the biggest lineup of artists we've ever had performing on the Coca-Cola Stage this year, bringing a new festival-style atmosphere to the Calgary Stampede," says Samara Lastiwka, production manager at the Calgary Stampede. "Audiences will get to experience something new every day."

Kicking off the first of four Coca-Cola Stage announcements this week:

Juno Award winners, July Talk and melodic Canadian singer/songwriters and Juno Award winning duo, Whitehorse are some headliners set for the Coca-Cola stage. Canadian rock-and-roll and country/western band The Sadies, blues duo The Harpoonist & The Axe Murderer and Edmonton rock artist, Faith Healer have joined the lineup. Delivering Alberta soul will be Michela Sheedy, HighKicks, Derek Pitts and Joe Nolan.

"On top of offering the best national and international headlining bands that the Stampede is known for, we jumped at the opportunity to invite the brightest local talent, showcasing the diverse and distinct sounds of Alberta," says Kyle Corner, manager, entertainment programming at the Calgary Stampede.

American singer-songwriter and actress Sabrina Carpenter, multi-faceted Canadian alternative rock group The Strumbellas and Billboard chart-topper rock-n-rollers Theory of a Deadman are added to the list of headliners. US pop singer and YouTube sensation Alex Aiono, indie Canuck rock band The Elwins, UK pop band New Hope Club and Canadian rockers and psych-tinged groovers Bleeker will also entertain the masses. A diverse selection of local talent will take the stage with performances from Jamie Woodfin, Ken Stead, The Orchard, Flaysher, Harry Knight and Ten Minute Detour.

"We're creating an atmosphere where people can stop by throughout the day and come together with fellow music fans to dance, jam along and experience the sights and sounds of great music," says Samara Lastiwka, production manager at the Calgary Stampede. "With so many artists headed to the Coca-Cola Stage, concert enthusiasts are going to want to stop by the Stampede more than once," adds Lastiwka.

Joining the expanded list of acts to hit the Coca-Cola Stage during this year's Stampede is Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara and pop-punk band Marianas Trench, accompanied by psychedelic duo Funk Schwey and singer-songwriter Jonathan Roy. Further adding to the sights and sounds of the stage are Calgary artists Napoleon Skywalker and The Torchettes, in addition to Edmonton band, We Were Friends.

"Having such a diverse and vast group of musicians play at the Calgary Stampede allows for audiences to experience something new and exciting every day while attending The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth," says Samara Lastiwka, production manager at the Calgary Stampede. "This last announcement of artists rounds out the Coca-Cola Stage lineup for our biggest year of music yet," adds Lastiwka.

Canadian icon and Grammy Award winner Nelly Furtado, Canadian alternative rock musical duo USS and American singer/songwriter and multi Grammy Award winner Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals join the list of Coca-Cola headliners. Halifax singer Ria Mae, who mixes pop, alternative and folk styles, along with Billboard chart-topper Alx Veliz from Toronto, will bring their sounds to the stage. Accomplished singers Madi Allen, Cole Malone, Jana McDonald, Brad Saunders and Carmen Lucia wrap up the remainder of the festival lineup. All concerts on the Coca-Cola Stage are free with admission to the Calgary Stampede, July 7 - 16, 2017. Enhancing this year's festival experience is the introduction of the Stampede SuperPass.
