I had a great natural light moment when shooting this photo, the sun shone exactly where I needed it to. Consider this a simple introduction to one of The Body Shop’s youngest and most hip makeup collections yet. Read more to get the full post and more photos.
I think one of the best value for money items in the collection is this multipurpose Lip and Cheek Dome (Php895) in Pinch Me Pink and the other shade, Crazy for Coral which leans more towards orange or peach. I preferred this shade because the other was too light for my lips. It’s a cream to powder formula that sets demi-matte and is super easy to blend out. You won’t over do it either, it’s sheer enough so that it looks natural but pigmented enough to be noticed.

The Lily Cole Pearl Radiance primer (around Php775/Php800) is meant to be skincare and makeup help in one cute product. When I tried it I was afraid there’d be noticeable shimmer, I didn’t immediately notice any (although it says it contains mica for radiance) but if anything it gave a healthy sheen and made my skin feel and look more radiant by also helping with hydration. It smells like the pink original Johnson’s Baby Lotion, which brings back memories. I have yet to test it out beneath full makeup to see how it performs as a base primer.

The signature (but not necessarily most popular) piece for me in the collection would be these lovely limited edition Lily Cole Shimmer Cubes. The colorway of this quad eyeshadow set is a lovely combination of neutrals that aren’t overly cool or warm. The most cool shade if ever would be that pretty lilac second from the left in these swatches. There’s a light pearl champagne shade, that cute lilac, a medium copper shade, and a gorgeous plummy espresso. All textures consist of fine shimmer but without glitter chunks and the texture is velvety and very pigmented. You will get a significant of fallout which is common among The Body Shop’s shimmer cube quads, but the shades are undeniably rich and pretty.
The complete Lily Cole collection also includes 4 shades of lipgloss, a liquid eyeliner, and the Puff On Radiance powder highlighter which is also very pretty when lightly brushed along the cheekbones to lightly lift and sculpt. The collection also comes with handy must-haves like a black makeup pouch, nail files and buffers, and a pocket mirror. It was fun being part of the Lily Cole launch at the newly opened Body Shop Pulse store in Mall of Asia, and of course meeting up with several blogger friends I hadn’t seen in quite awhile was an added treat.
