MY TAKE ON THE PRODUCT
I got the TBS Cocoa Butter Hand & Body Lotion and the Cocoa Butter Creamy Body Wash together since I knew that Cocoa Butter would be the best thing to moisturise both in the shower and out of it.
What TBS claims in this instance is actually what you get! It is one of the best lotions I have ever used! The texture is neither thick nor runny and it is white in color. It has a very rich feel to it. It takes a few seconds to get absorbed and leaves your body feeling plump and hydrated. I used it throughout winter and summer and it never let me down. It is so good I cannot tell you how much I love this product!
The smell is sooooooooooooooo awesome. It smells of luxury and feels like it too. I think it is excellent to have for both summer and winter. After a shower the skin is stripped of its natural oil and you need a good moisturizer. If you haven’t found your HG lotion, go ahead and get this.
I like the flip cap that the bottle has and I love the fact that most of their products come in a bottle where you can remove the screw on cap. It is so easy to transfer the product to another bottle to cart around according to your needs.
BEWARE OF FAKES!
The other day I was at the Beauty Centre in Kandivali West, Mumbai. I happened to have this product in my bag and saw a similar bottle on the stands and decided this was the best time to test if the products that are sold outside The Body Shop stores/counters are genuine or not.
I intended to get as much as a pepper pod out of the bottle but to my horror when I turned the bottle, what came out was the consistency of drinking milk! It was also very yellow in color.
It was totally a fake! I then took out my bottle and checked the consistency to be sure and it was so the opposite!!! Plus the printing on the lable was slightly blurred.
So I guess you have to be careful of fakes in the market and now apparently most shops selling beauty products are loaded with such fake TBS products.
