The Best Menswear Looks from the 2016 Cannes Film Festival

By Attireclub @attireclub

The Cannes Film Festival might be a movie festival, but it is also a great parade of stunning fashion looks. While most of the attention goes to the couture worn by the ladies, there are a lot of men's outfits from which any elegantologist can draw some summer night style inspiration.

Meet the men who have made our Cannes red carpet edit.

Matt Bomer wore a really great blue jacket and an elegant bow tie. Matt's outfit goes to show that blue is a great replacement for black not only when it comes to business or business casual looks, but also to special-occasion looks.

Actor Shia Labeouf wore a great Prada outfit. It's always exciting to see someone wear a white jacket on the red carpet, as these are not very common.

Ryan Gosling wore white on top and blue on the bottom, which is something we definitely love. Classic pieces, worn in these colors make for a great outfit for an evening on the French Riviera. Ryan definitely took the occasion and dressed for it!

Actors Chris Pine and Ben Foster are two examples of the many guys who rocked classic attire at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. These guys go to show that classic pieces, from jackets to shoes, are timeless and that, if you have a go-to suit that fits well and that you can dress up for evening or a special event with a bow tie, or dress down for the day with a tie or with no neckwear, you will definitely look great!

The red carpet on the French Riviera is one of the most glamorous red carpets in the world, where stars from all over the world shine brightly. While we would have loved to see more colorful and interesting men's fashions, as, this way, most guys resemble the photographers, we definitely found lots of inspiration in these outfits and are very excited to watch all the films that were released and awarded during the festival.
