Massive explosions, a leather-clad Scarlett Johansson, and more superheroes than you can shake a stick at – the first trailer for Marvel’s Avengers film has landed. The film represents Marvel’s attempt to fuse their various comic book blockbusters into one larger-than-life epic, in which the heroes join forces to save the world. Samuel L. Jackson runs the show as Nick Fury, commanding a team of Hollywood minnows such as Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America) and Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk).
The two minute montage is more than enough evidence for some zealous fanboys to be reviewing the film already. Anthony Breznican of Entertainment Weekly squealed, “this rules.” Scott Johnson of comicbook.com is already worried that there’s too much Tony Stark (Iron Man), and not enough of the other characters, but The Sun loves the “impressive… sharp dialogue”, while Eric Ditzian and Josh Wigler of MTV call the trailer a “super heroic success.” We’ll let you make up your own mind:
