Ten of the Worlds Craziest Animal Friends Ever Spotted

By Russell Deasley @Worlds_Top_10

Friendship is one of the most adorable aspects of life. It turns out that it's not only people who can find common ground and have a wonderful time with each other. Animals have proved that they can cross bridges and make friends defying laws of nature. Some animals, however, are just too shocking be seen together playing and not eating each other. When we see faithful friends amongst animals of different species, it becomes fascinating as it teaches us to overcome our own differences and love one another. Below is a detailed list of 10 most unusual animals that broke the codes of nature and became great buddies.

Ostrich - Giraffe Friendship

Did you know that long necks could be a reason to be friends? Usually, neither ostriches nor giraffes have the tendency of hanging out with animal species different from their own. However, in Serengeti plains, the codes of nature have been broken by these two different animals. It's fascinating as these two incredible animals are seen having fun together frequently despite one being feathered while the other has fur.

The two were just inseparable, maybe because of their long legs! As the giraffe walked around exploring its surroundings, the ostrich would be seen tagging along pecking at the grass and seeds. They even cuddled and ran around together. In most cases, when not together, the two would seem dull and stressed.

Dog - Dolphin Friendship

Dolphins are also called the dogs of the sea because they are very playful and friendly to humans. Not long ago, several dolphins living on the coast of south Mozambique had a chance to meet a real dog in their natural habitat. The dog who works with a group of Eco tourists is brave and can identify beautiful marine animals as quickly as possible. Amazingly, this dog does not do this just because he is a professional but out of love.

The two different species of animals have gone to the extent of breaking the law of nature by becoming best friends. They find joy in diving, swimming and playing around with each other in the ocean without worrying about the difference of their habitats.

Tiger - Goat Friendship

When it comes to the natural food chain, the roles are obvious, with the tiger being a predator and the goat a prey. However, in the Safari Park of the Primorskiy region of Russia, the case is different as the codes of nature have been broken. There is a strange friendship that exists between a goat and a tiger. Instead of chasing the goat, the tiger is seen having fun with the goat playing around it. The tiger doesn't express any aggressiveness towards the goat, making the situation weirder.

Surprisingly, tigers in the park are known to always hunt for prey twice a week, meaning the flesh of the goat is not a strange taste to this tiger. The goat is so brave and will be seen hanging around this tiger, which doesn't obey the law of nature by preying on this goat. This kind of friendship is too strange based on the fact that there is no human intervention as no one tried to save the goat.

Dog - Rat Friendship

Dogs hate rodents, and that`s not negotiable until you meet these two. A three-year-old Dutch shepherd had difficulty as a puppy because he had no friends to play with. The owners picked him up in an empty parking lot and decided to feed and nature him. Nevertheless, this was not enough for this lonely 'guy' who was always there having no one to play with. Things changed when a young rat appeared in the house, a little and weak and starved.

Fascinatingly, the dog didn`t bite into the rat. Instead, the dog gave the little rodent company and helped it eat. Regardless of their difference in size and nature, they could be seen cuddling together with the rat riding on the dog's back, playing around his mouth as it cleans the dog's teeth, and even sleeping together.

Cheetah - Dog Friendship

In Santiago zoo safari park in the US, there lives Rukso and Reiner, who happen to be best friends and always happy with each other. They are not your regular friends because one is supposed to be eating the other in a natural park. Rukso is the cheetah, while Reiner is the lucky dog. Their close relationship undermines the notion that cats and dogs are the greatest enemies.

They have been friends since when they were both less than two months old. During their early days of childhood, Rukso was diagnosed with growth abnormality, which was affecting his front legs, and surprisingly, Reiner inspired him to be strong. Their most exciting time together is when they are running. Although Reiner cannot burst into the speed of the fast-moving Rukso, he runs as fast as he can to catch up with his friend.

Cow - Tortoise Friendship

In Bangkok, Thailand, there is a Domestic cow and an African spurred tortoise who are best friends. The two creatures were both rescued by the Wildlife Friends Foundation. The cow was rescued when he got stuck in the vines and, during the ordeal, lost part of her leg. The tortoise, on the other hand, was rescued after the closure of a zoo. They were both put in a wide enclosed field where they were taken care of.

The locals were then surprised when they found out that these two animals had formed a bond and were great friends. No one expected this strange pair to get on so well. They are often seen together having a meal or just relaxing. The two animals now live together permanently. They are one strange family whose sad stories brought together, and they both seem to understand that.

Dog - Fox Friendship

This is another instance where the wild and domestic met and bonded. While walking in the woods, a photographer in Norway captured a weird friendship between a dog and a fox. The animals are known not to be friends in normal circumstances because the fox is always shy and will either be aggressive or keep away from the dog. The German shepherd named Tiney and the young fox named Sniffer, however, went ahead to break this law of nature.

Here is how their story started: A few years ago, the little fox came around Tiney`s house, searching for something to eat when it found common ground with Tiney. Since then, the animals spend almost all their time together, cuddling and running around together despite their physical differences. It's so unusual for such a union ever to exist since foxes such as Sniffer are often hunted down and killed with the help of dogs.

Dog - Gazelle Friendship

Gazelles are naturally tuned to run away from barking dogs. However, in Isabel Springs Farm of Great Colombia, there is a dog named Great Dane and a deer who are great friends. Danes are some of the biggest dogs in the world, and it is so amazing that this one doesn't wage an attack on the gazelle. Their friendship started when Dane found a little gazelle baby abandoned by her mother.

He protected her when she was little, a role the dog continued to maintain long after the deer was grown. Dane is fond of her, and the two creatures live happily. When the deer was fully developed, the herd in a nearby bush accepted her, but she regularly comes around to spend time with her best friend, the Great Dane.

Snake - Rat Friendship

According to the law of nature, Snakes eat rodents, period! However, in Tokyo's Mitsugu animal kingdom, this law of nature was broken by these two creatures. The two became buddies with the rat developing confidence, which made her play around the giant reptile. Shockingly, the snake also didn't show any interest in preying on this little rodent.

They also spend time together cuddling each other without worries about their differences. The pair left many people amazed and became a great attraction to many tourists as many could not believe that the two distinct species of animals could form such a great bond.

Orangutan - Dog Friendship

Orangutans spend most of their lives in high canopies away from other creatures and don't make friends with any other animal. Anyone who understands this diverse species of apes also knows about their natural hatred for dogs. These beautiful apes are also highly endangered around the world and definitely need friends, although we didn`t expect it to be a dog.

There is an orangutan named Suryia and a dog named Roscoe in a South Carolina park for endangered animals who are close friends. The two seem to find solace in each other's company as they usually cuddle, swim, and even eat together. The orangutan is, however, naturally advantaged during playtime because the dog can't jump from branch to branch in the park trees.
