Ten of the Very Best Hotels in Herefordshire, England

By Russell Deasley @Worlds_Top_10

While it is far from the biggest of the English counties it is conveniently located for people wanting to stay close to larger parts of the UK. So that means there are hundreds of hotels and B & B's within this area. While I haven't stayed in all of them (obviously) I have stayed in more than enough hotels in this area to make a good list of what I personally think are ten of the very best hotels within the Herefordshire area...

The Greenman, Fownhope, Hereford - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

This rustic-chic country pub & fine-dining restaurant features some of the biggest rooms I have ever seen. In fact, for most people, they are bigger than their own bedrooms at home! If you plan to visit the cathedral or pop into Hereford city centre for some shopping this is a great place to stay.

The Abbey Hotel, Abbey Road, Great Malvern - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

If you want to relax and unwind this hotel has all you need for a perfect getaway weekend with your partner. With some pretty impressive views from most rooms and large landscaped gardens to explore onsite you can happily stay here and go nowhere else for the entire weekend!

The Bridge House Boutique Hotel, Wilton Road, Ross-on-Wye - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Located right on the banks of the River Wye (near Wilton Bridge) this high-end hotel offering large elegant rooms is a joy to stay in. With Wilton Castle being located within walking distance it is perfect for those looking for a little exercise and a relaxing weekend.

Wilton Court Hotel, Wilton, Ross-on-Wye - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

If you plan on visiting the historic town of Ross-on-Wye why not stay inside this 16th-century, Elizabethan sandstone hotel that offers both river or garden views. It also has one of the best restaurants within in Herefordshire area.

The Baiting House, Upper Sapey, Worcester - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Having stayed here a few times the staff and the hotel never fail to make me feel right at home. Sure, it isn't in the best location but what you do get is peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside. Plus there is some pretty good pub grub to enjoy.

The Godwins, Bartestree, Hereford - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

You don't just they the joy of staying inside a Grade II listed building here, you get to stay in somewhere that has real historical significance. While it doesn't offer much in the way of amenities it more than makes up for them in staff friendliness and comfort.

Alexander Park Resort, Pixley, Ledbury - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Looking for a golf resort that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? This hotel has you covered. There is a well maintained 18-hole golf course and for everyone else who isn't into golf, there are 140 acres of parkland to explore. Oh! And some very upscale rooms to enjoy when you are relaxing.

Corse Lawn Bistro, Corse Lawn, Gloucester - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

While it doesn't have the amenities to back up its posh persona there is a tennis court, helipad and some fine-dining to be enjoyed at the restaurant. There is more than enough here to make you smile, but just not enough to enjoy, but the price is kept low to counteract that.

New House Farm, Aston Ingham, Longhope - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

You can't help but feel at home here. The owners are always friendly and there is also farm animals to look at and interactive with. It just feels like a home away from home and is simply perfect for the whole family.

The Burton Hotel, Mill Street, Kington - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

This isn't the perfect Cloud 9 (the name of the Health Club attached to the hotel), but for the price, I think it's pretty great. With a large pool and spa to enjoy this is the perfect relaxing weekend getaway for couples, or with kids that love swimming.
