Ten of the Very Best Hotels in Hampshire, England

By Russell Deasley @Worlds_Top_10

With towns and cities like Winchester, Southampton and Portsmouth within its boundaries Hampshire is, of course, a top tourist destination. So it goes without saying that there are a lot of hotels in this area of England and I have stayed in quite a lot of them which means I am more than qualified to make this list of just ten of the best hotels in Hampshire. but do be aware that this list is based on my own personal experiences...

Careys Manor Hotel, Lyndhurst Road, Brockenhurst - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

If you plan a visit to Brockenhurst you might want to stay in this high-end hotel (and high priced) with its Thai-style spa, Thai restaurant and of course very refined rooms. This is the perfect weekend retreat for those looking to unwind and relax.

Lainston House, Sparsholt, Winchester - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

If you enjoy luxury this hotel is perfect for you. Set in a grand 17th-century mansion with 63 acres of parkland, tennis courts, fishing, falconry and fine dining. It is the high of luxury, but you will have to pay a high price for that privilege.

Rhinefield House Hotel, Rhinefield Road, Brockenhurst - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

While most of the rooms are located in the modern annexe rather than the mansion itself it's still got that superior luxury that you would expect from a hotel like this. With all you need for a perfect romantic weekend, spa, pools and upscale dining it is a couples retreat that you won't want to leave.

Chewton Glen Hotel, Christchurch Road, New Milton - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Are you planning a visit to Highcliffe Castle's gothic mansion and tearoom? If you are why not stay a few nights living like royalty in this hotel. With its chic restaurant and grand spa it is probably the poshest hotel within the Hampshire area, but it does also come with the highest price tag.

Oakley Hall Hotel, Oakley, Basingstoke - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

While still quite pricy I think this hotel does offer great value for money. Set in a refined 18th-century Georgian manor house on 315 landscaped acres it offers both fine dining & clay pigeon shooting for those who are interested in it.

Woodlands Lodge Hotel, Woodlands, Southampton - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

If you plan to do some walking around the New Forest you might want to stay here for a night or two. It offers all the luxury and country-chic many of the other hotels on this list do, but it does it for half the price and that makes it well worth a stay in my books.

The Cliff House, Woodlands, Southampton - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Despite its name, this country-chic hotel isn't anywhere near a cliff, but it is very much worth a stay. Located just a short drive from Ashurst New Forest train station it has a rather classy restaurant that mostly serves produce grown in the on-site garden.

The Elvetham, Hartley Wintney, Hook - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

This is one of those hotels that are perfect for both business stays and personal stays, but yet its prices are so low you will feel bad paying so little once the bill comes! Tucked inside a stately 19th-century mansion and its converted stables it offers elegant rooms and high-end dining which is located in a conservatory.

The Montagu Arms Hotel, Beaulieu, Brockenhurst - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

Set in a refined 17th-century country house with gardens and a destination restaurant that serves some of the best afternoon tea you will find in the whole of Hampshire, it is a high-end hotel that is perfect for anyone going to see the Beaulieu National Motor Museum as it is less than 1 mile away.

La Fosse, Cranborne, Wimborne - Book Now: >> CLICK HERE <<

As stay in this quaint bed & breakfast is like a night in your own home and will feel just as warm and inviting. There are lots of casual bed-and-breakfast's in this area, but this is one of the best with a fantastic price to match.
