If you just want a nice looking hotel with low-key rooms and a polished 18th-century look then look no further than this one. With some very fine dining, on-site spa and even a swimming pool it is hard not to relax and unwind when you are within its walls.

This lovely hotel is perfect for short stays and makes you feel like the most important person in the world due to the tentativeness of the ever-helpful staff. While it is probably the most expensive hotel in the area some might argue that it is worth every penny. (personally, I do try and get the lowest price I can for this hotel).

If you are looking for a beautiful hotel with large rooms and beds this is the one you want. While the food is nice it isn’t anything special an doesn’t represent the overall high quality of the hotel itself. If you want something posh without the price this place should be perfect for you.

While I will say this hotel is overpriced you can still get a good deal if you shop around enough. The rooms are nice enough and the staff are friendly enough, but I still don’t think it is worth the full price of the rooms. But it is definitely a very nice pub and well worth popping in for a drink or two.

While this is one of those hotels that gets very busy it is well worth staying here on off-seasons. With great food and friendly staff, this is a wonderful hotel that you will feel right at home in. But like I said, do try and stay here off-season as when it is busy things like service and room cleaning quality tend to fall apart for some reason.

If you are staying in Bedfordshire on business this is the perfect place to stay. With a 24-hour business centre, gym and even a rather nice restaurant, this hotel is there to help you relax and unwind, but that is all it offers. While there is nothing that extra special here it does have all you need and that ticks all my boxes.

Looking for a hotel that is also a holiday centre? This is one hotel that is well worth a stay. Staying here means it is almost impossible not to feel relaxed and away from it all. While it can be expensive you do get an awful lot for that price beside the rather nice rooms.

From the outside, you might be expecting a classic half-timbered gastropub style hotel, but the rooms are surprisingly contemporary and some even have riverside views! While you could say the rooms are a little overpriced given what other hotels in the area offer for the same price, I still think this is an oddly sophisticated hotel with plenty of atmosphere.

This hotel isn’t family friendly, it certainly doesn’t offer good value for money, but what it does do in spades is luxury and you will feel like the most important person on earth the moment you walk through the door. Other than its ridiculous price you will struggle to find any fault with this hotel, even the staff are oddly perfect.

From its streamlined rooms to its contemporary look this hotel offers all you need for both business and holiday stay. With a rather nice restaurant, a pretty big gym and even a 24hr business center this is one hotel that can offer it all and does it at a pretty reasonable price at the same time.
