Today we are very proud to premiere the track, “Secret Lives of Voyeurs”, coming from a new band out of Brooklyn – Teen Commandments. Headed by songwriters Brett Moses and Nick LaGrasta, the group is all about mixing new wave 80s synth with more modern instrumentation to create songs that are sufficiently deep yet still make you want to dance the night away. They wrote “Secret Lives of Voyeurs” while still in college, a triumph given how well-constructed the track is. “Two years can go by just like that. I guess you might say that this song is about confusion, ecstasy and catharsis at the end of a long night. Or maybe it takes place at a party,” Moses said. Catharsis, ecstasy or a party — either way, this song gets its point across.

Though they’re still relatively young, the track begs to differ. The contrast of its drugged out synths with those laid back vocals shows a group that has clear influences from a different era but who also want to take their sound to a new level. If this track isn’t enough for you, then check out their most recent EP, Dancer, here
