Tall Tall Trees, our long time favorite — whether he’s giving a magnificent performance with Kishi Bashi or delivering his finely-crafted solo tunes — has just announced his third full-length album, his first recorded as a true solo artist. Today, he’s sharing the first single, “Backroads,” and giving fans a look inside the recording process with a video he produced during his time in the studio. The track incorporates the lush, layered elements and expert banjo we’ve come to expect, but creates an even more interesting and dense atmosphere with natural sound embellishments, leaving us eagerly anticipating Freedays release on February 17.
