Taipan, The Oberoi, New Delhi - The King Of DimsumWith stiff competition across F&B Industry, it gets difficult for restaurants to stay ahead after 2-3 years of its service. However, Taipan at The Oberoi, New Delhi has been ahead of the game for the last 30 years servicing Chinese Cuisine. The specialty of this restaurant is dimsum lunch which is quite popular amongst regular customers.
Chef Hu has recently come from China and has extensive experience in Chinese cuisine. People of china know him by the name of Dim sum king. The most interesting fact is that Chef Hu can make more than 300 varieties if dimsums.  Another interesting is his unique skills on hand made noodles ( no machine). I loved it and they were very soft, delicious and not chewyTaipan, The Oberoi, New Delhi - The King Of DimsumAt Taipan, I was warmly greeted by their Marcom Manager Deepica Sarma and we had a quick tour of the restuarant.Taipen gives an amazing view of the city with high rise buildings of CP and Lutyens filled with greenery! I wonder, view at night gets more mesmerizing with lights and darkness carving out unique scenery! I would love to come back for dinner and get absorbed in the silence of this beauty. Apart from their famous Dim Sum lunch they offer A-la Carte that consisting of soups, appetizers and main course. The menu has CIRCA and year, mentioned against the name of the dishes, that denotes the year since it is being served and is still being loved by customers. Taipan, The Oberoi, New Delhi - The King Of DimsumThe dimsum lunch has 22 varieties of dimsums to offer, besides other appetizers. It isn’t easy to relish all. I would suggest, to start with lemon and coriander chicken soup which is light refreshing and you will love it. Chicken spring roll and chicken wonton in appetizer too is a must have. In dimsums,  I would recommend you to relish the seafood dimsums as they are absolutely delicious. Different kind of dough is used for different dimsums and each dimsum has extraordinary flavor. Shrimp har grow, shrimp cheung fun and shrimp and celery are must have. Don’t forget to try their pork spare ribs and baked barbque puff – heavenly! Save your appetite for mango pudding and homemade vanilla icecream to finish your meal.
