I've had some great news this week! On Tuesday I went for an interview for a higher role in the team. I did my best and just ten minutes afterwards I was called back up to the room and offered one of the two jobs available! I really couldn't believe it! I've only been working there for 8 weeks now and to move up to a higher level (with more responsibility and a pay rise) is just incredible!
I had a lovely meal with some of the guys from work on Wednesday night and it turns out we were sat a table away from Gus Poyet! One of the guys is a big Sunderland fan but he didn't dare to go over. After the meal, Andrew and I went to the cinema (for the second time this week) to see The Guest, which wasn't quite what I expected, but I did enjoy it. The soundtrack felt very inspired by Drive. We've also seen Before I Go To Sleep and I really really enjoyed it. Definitely going to be reading the book now, such a good twist!
Since I got the new job, I had to use up the remaining holidays before moving over, so I ended up taking off Thursday and Friday and I've got a half day tomorrow. It's been great to have some time to sit down and work on blog stuff and plan ahead.
I'm really keen to keep getting outfit posts up as often as I can and luckily my boyfriend doesn't mind taking the photos for me! He's just set up a blog which you can check out here if you like. You may have seen my latest outfit on Tuesday, if not click here to see it. If you're local to the North East (well, Gateshead and Newcastle in particular) you may have seen me in a little magazine distributed around the area and it's available in a number of coffee shops and bars in the city too!
Speaking of outfits, at the Love Niche event last night I won the outfit I picked out. I really didn't expect it at all but I'm sure I'll feature it on my blog soon! It's such a great early birthday surprise.
