Weddings in Santorini are always a sight to behold, and the summer celebration of Katy and Craig in Oia was no exception. Thoughtfully planned by Oh My Wedding, their day unfolded against the breathtaking backdrop of the island, where a lush floral arch beautifully framed the incredible ceremony spot overlooking the sea. Every element reflected their story, from the abundance of white blooms to the intimate, heartfelt atmosphere that surrounded them. «It’s so hard to choose one moment, but probably walking down the steps and seeing my future husband waiting after two years of planning the day was finally here , everyone said to me before once the day comes and you walk down the aisle you won’t be nervous as it will feel like there’s nobody else there just the two of you and they were right it was like a dream I wish I could go back and do it again in slow motion…», the bride shared with us. Enjoy this beautiful destination wedding filled with timeless charm and breathtaking views!

«We used to work together many years ago and started out as friends. Craig proposed me on a summer holiday in Crete on the beach, which I almost ruined!»
«My wedding dress was a madilane gown- Seville. I knew when I started dress shopping I wanted something elegant but minimalist, as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one. It was an organza material with a beautiful A line shape and a sweetheart neckline with puff organza sleeves it also had a slit up the leg which was only visible when walking and added a little extra something to the gown. The material moved beautifully I knew I needed something that would keep me cool on the day and be easy to get around the tight steps of our Santorini wedding venue and this wedding dress was perfect. The back of the dress was just stunning too.»
«I wanted to keep the wedding decorations minimal as I feel like the venue was so beautiful anyway I didn’t want to take away from the views and the natural beauty. However, we went with some white roses and some greenery around the wooden arch and on the cake we had some white roses. I had a small bridal bouquet which was white roses and baby breaths’ and my wedding planner Efi from Oh My Wedding added a touch of blue spray to the flowers to match the bag I was carrying. Each chair had personalised tissues and a fan to keep our guests cool whilst they waited, I wanted every detail to be really personal as we only had 10 guests. We decided on candles in glass jars down the steps and round the floor to light it up as the night drew in and we also had the same candles inside glass jars on the table to match.»
«It’s so hard to choose one moment from my wedding as my favorite, but probably walking down the steps and seeing my future husband waiting after two years of planning the day was finally here , everyone said to me before once the day comes and you walk down the aisle you won’t be nervous as it will feel like there’s nobody else there just the two of you and they were right it was like a dream I wish I could go back and do it again in slow motion.»
«I followed the site of Chic and Stylish Weddings.»
«The table decorations were very elegant and simplistic I had someone make each guest a menu with their name on it and what choice of food they were having . These menus had a black bow on the top as our wedding guest theme was black and white outfits. On the table we then just had some novelty sweets with our names on and a little favour for each guest. I enjoyed every part of it I felt like it all went together so well the most beautiful bit was the candles in the evening when it got dark just made it look so special and romantic I think they were one of the best decisions we made for the wedding decorations.»
The advice I would give to a bride who is now planning her wedding is: it’s your day, it’s not about anybody else only you and your future husband, have whatever makes you happy on the day and don’t fall out over wedding planning make decisions together. Make it all about the two of you, if you like an idea and you want it have it because if not you will regret it. Also make time to talk to each other on the day, when you’re out having pictures taken and it’s just the two of you.
