Start.ca Rocks The Park Adds TLC, Nelly and More to 2020 Lineup

By Phjoshua @thereviewsarein

Start.ca Rocks The Park released their ever-popular Flashback Friday lineup this morning.

Sponsored once again by Virgin Radio 97.5 FM, the Friday, July 17th lineup includes top-tier headliner, '90s band TLC. Supporting them is none other than the "it's getting hot in here" Nelly, Arrested Development, Jenny Berggren of Ace of Base, 112 and 2 Live Crew. Get ready to reminisce and sing along to your favourite '90s songs all night long.

TLC

Tionne " T-Boz" Watkins, Lisa " Left Eye" Lopes, and Rozonda " C hilli" Thomas brought something to the table that we'd never seen before. When the band lost Lisa in 2002, they continued without her. TLC has had nine top ten hits. They've sold over 65 million records, they're the best selling girl group in US history, and they're one of the best trios ever. Four Grammy Awards, 5 MTV awards, and 5 Soul Train awards. Search '90s bands, TLC is at the top of the list!

With 198 million streams, No Scrubs is their most streamed song.

Nelly

Breaking onto the scene in 2000, Nelly has gone places others hadn't even dreamed of. Diamond Selling, multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning rap superstar, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and sometimes actor, Nelly has collaborated with artists from Kelly Rowlands to Florida Georgia Line. We know that Nelly knows how to bring the heat.

Arrested Development

Known almost as much for their philanthropic work as their music, Arrested Development garnered 2 Grammy Award wins, and have gone platinum four times. The band is renowned for their unique mixture of consciousness, joy and musicality.

Jenny Berggren of Ace of Base

At 19, lead singer Jenny Berggren of Swedish pop group Ace of Base blew up! They became known worldwide and Jenny's voice in All That She Wants was a huge factor in that success. Jenny continues to tour as a solo artist and she'll be bringing the music we know and love, and so much more.

112

This American R&B quartet from Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly artists on Bad Boy Records signed to the Def Soul roster in 2002. They had hits in the late 1990s and early 2000s with hits such as It's Over Now, Only You, Anywhere and the Grammy Award-nominated single, Peaches & Cream.

2 Live Crew

The Miami-based hip hop artists who pushed the limits with their sexually explicit lyrics will also be on the bill.
