As audiences everywhere were dismayed to find out that Peacock was dropping Winnie The Pooh: Blood and honey 2 without audio description, it is not eligible for this list. These are the 10 scariest titles that are on Peacock and have audio description.

I still refuse to tell you what this movie is about. If by some chance this movie has not been spoiled for you, see it before it is. All I’ll confirm is that, yes it does belong here. yes, there is gore. And Yes, this is still one of my favorite titles this year. i gave it an A-, and the cast did some terrific work, especially Alicia Weir.
2) Arachnophobia
Without fail Peacock has had this on their list from the audio description project I think since launch. It is a classic creature feature from the early 90’s, and if you do have a fear of spiders, it is the best thing to watch that actually has audio description easily available. The cast ranges from Jeff Daniels in the lead, to a memorable John Goodman as a bug killer in over his head.
3) Cocaine Bear
A great ensemble cast gets absolutely destroyed in this horror comedy. Seriously, poor Margo Martindale. But this also has the distinction of being Ray liotta’s final film. It isn’t technically scary, but it is very bloody, gory, and just a wicked fun time. I do have a review of this up as well, and it got a B from me after my first viewing.
4) Freaky
This body swap movie is kinda genius. If you’ve been waiting for that Vince Vaughn performance you never thought you’d see, it lies in Freaky, which sees him as a brutal serial killer, who switches body with a teen girl who was almost his victim, so he ends up having to pretend he’s that teen girl as everyone works to find the real killer, who now has a new body to murder in. Really underrated.
5) Knock At The Cabin
I mean, this film didn’t work for me, but it has worked for some. A family vacationing at a cabin in the woods meets four random strangers who have a very unusual proposition for them. If they don’t comply, the world might end. Are these four strangers crazy, or will the world end? It’s an M Night Shyamalan movie so anything could happen.

Ryan Reynolds and Jeff Bridges basically knock off Men In Black. It’s a horror themed movie that really leans comedy, PG-13, and is good for people looking for things that are at least adjacent to horror for October.
7) Renfield
Nicholas Hoult plays the assistant to Dracula, and he’s got his own series of quirks, but he’s having an existential crisis of sorts as he wants to be more than he is. Cage has always wanted to play Dracula, and really goes all in on this performance, but Hoult is hilarious as well. A side plot with the cops kinda bogs the film down, but it is fun. Bloody, Gory, Silly, and not too scary.
8) Sick
This pandemic slasher has Kevin Williamson vibes all over it. It is a little bloody,a tad gory, and maybe a few scares. It’s your typical teen slasher though. If you made it through Scream, you’ll make it through Sick.
9) Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey
probably one of the worst movies ever made. Depraved, excessively gory, and really stupid. But, it does have audio description, while the sequel currently does not. So, rewatch the original to quench your thirst for awful horror movies.
10) Harry Potter
Peacock also has the Harry Potter franchise. All with audio description. So if you need a family friendly option, this is the closest thing Peacock has that the kids can watch, while feeling like they are in the season for witches and wizards and magical beasts.
