South Indian breakfast trail #3-Rava idly-kothumalli(clantro) chutney and podiThis week I made this break fast platter-rava idly, kothumalli chutney and milagai podi(gun powder). Rava idly is quite filling, calorie rich food which is good for growing kids and also keeps us full for long time. Here is the recipe for rava idly.
Milagai podi:
This is an integral part of breakfast in Tamil homes.Personally I swear up on gun powder compared to any chutney/sambar.Gun powder with sesame oil is an unbeatable combination :). Here are two versions of gun powder we use
1.Milagai podi with nuts
2.Ellu milagai podi
Kothumalli chutney.
Kothumalli means cilantro leaves in Tamil and a very fragrant chutney with these leaves makes an awesome combo with rava idly.
