At some point in the upcoming final season of “True Blood,” St.Louis shoe artist Molly M. Collier will put her best foot (or feet, actually) forward.

One of Collier’s creations will be worn in the HBO series (which begins June 22) by actress Kristin Bauer Van Straten — who plays Pam De Beaufort, Eric Northman’s mean-but-long-suffering sidekick.

The pair of Luichiny shoes revamped by local artist Molly M. Collier
that are to appear in the HBO series “True Blood.”

Collier, 29, is a fan of the vampire saga and began pursuing work on the show last year.

I love the show and I already had done some shoes inspired by ‘True Blood’ for a local (fashion) show,” said Collier, who markets her wares through her Studio M Boutique.

But Collier was told by costume supervisors that filming already had been completed for that season. Not to be deterred, Collier talked to the costumers again before this final season, and again was told shooting had been wrapped up.

But then they called me and said some scenes had been added and they wanted my shoes,” said Collier, a Kirkwood High grad (Class of ’02) and Webster University alum.

So Collier went to St. Louis designers Luichiny for a pair of double-platform, stiletto-heeled shoes and then worked her magic — hand-painting red slashes on them and adding ruby rhinestones.

Collier said she also sent a pair of “classic pointed-toe stilettos,” similarly revamped, for Bauer to keep.

They told me I can’t disclose what episode the shoes are going to be in,” Collier said. “But I’d pay close attention toward the end of the season.
