According to Yahoo news, movie star Shia LaBeouf has made a huge decision to pause his Hollywood movie career to peruse a role in a Von Trier movie titled ‘Nymphomaniac’, which will include real on-scene sex scenes. As one can imagine, Shia’s girlfriend of almost two years did not take this decision very well. Reporters say that when Karolyn Pho, LaBeouf’s girlfriend, found out that her significant other would be voluntarily participating in real on-scene sex scenes, with alleged co-stars Nicole Kidman and Charlotte Gainsbourg, she immediately broke down in tears. Poor Karolyn was seen having a very public break down this week after finding out this shocking information.
I have to say I don’t blame the girl. I would be extremely upset if my significant other chose to participate in similar acts. LaBeouf is being very open about this new “acting” transformation. When he spoke with MTV News about his new movie role he described this Von Trier movie as, “[The movie] is what you think it is. It is Lars von Trier, making a movie about what he’s making. For instance, there’s a disclaimer at the top of The Script that basically says we’re doing it For Real. Everything that is illegal, we’ll shoot in blurred images. Other than that, everything is happening.” In my opinion he seems very confident about his role in this new movie, and doesn’t seem to have any reservations about how his decision is going to affect his relationship with his girlfriend.
All of this seems a little crazy to me. One, I don’t really see Shia LaBeouf staring in these types of pornographic movies, and two, the fact that he doesn’t really seem to have any concerns about how his decision is going to affect his relationship with his girlfriend is a little yielding. I guess we will just have to wait and see what his final decision turns out to be, and whether or not his decision will affect the outcome of his two-year relationship with Karolyn Pho.
