I stayed at the Shangri-la Paris in April this year, shortly after its opening. The hotel was the home of Napoleon’s nephew and it is the only hotel of its kind in Paris.
As I walked through the open doors of the palatial grand home, I felt a difference from the other palace hotels in Paris. It doesn’t feel like a hotel at all. You really do feel like you are in the grand, decadent mansion.
The best room is the Eiffel Tower Suite. As to be expected, there is a grand view of the Eiffel tower – it seems so close as though you can actually touch it. It’s truly incredible and unique.
