Raksh Bandhan or Rakhi is one of those festivals celebrated in India, which commemorates the unconditional and pious love between brother and sister all over the country. It is celebrated on the full-moon day of Shravana (in the month of August) based on Hindu calendar. The characteristics of this festival is that sister ties Rakhi on the wrist of her brother and pray for her long life and health, brother, in turn, promise his sister for giving her life-long support and protection. This festival stands for expressing the deepest bond of love and care between brother and sister. Though the festival celebrates the love and bond between brothers and sisters but in the deeper level, it connotes that the pure love between brother and sister is the best among all other relationships.
