About the position
We're looking for a top-class native-speaker of French who will translate our material from English to French and run the new site.
Are you experienced in translation and passionate about low carb and how it can help millions of French-speaking people around the world? Are you open-minded, creative and good at working with and managing people? If so, you may be the person we're looking for.
Your job will involve translating Diet Doctor into French with excellence and run the site. But, that's not all: you'd be involved in deciding the strategy for bringing Diet Doctor to French speakers, forming networks with low-carb experts and enthusiasts within the global French-speaking community, and staying up to date on the latest low-carb news and science. Plus, like every team member at Diet Doctor, you'd have a real voice in our decisions about what our company should do to make low carb simple for people everywhere.
Essential qualities
The role is highly challenging and not for everyone. You'll need all the following qualities to be considered for the job:
- Native French speaker, impeccable written and spoken language.
- Write and speak excellent English.
- Eat low carb and believe in its benefits for people with obesity and diabetes.
- Love to work independently, and to get things done fast with consistently high quality.
- Work meticulously.
- Enjoy coordinating the work of several people to create a great outcome.
- Learn fast.
- Live near our main office in central Stockholm, Sweden, or are willing to move here to be part of our amazing team.
- Have a strong desire to do something meaningful.
Desired qualities
- Several years' experience with translating medical or health-related texts from English to French.
- The ability to think strategically and outside the box about how to bring low carb to the global French-speaking population in an effective and culturally-sensitive way.
- A belief in the importance of our values: trustworthiness, simplicity, inspiration and goodness.
- Experience with WordPress.
- Photoshop skills.
