Scott Caan, and Finale Guest Star, Val Lauren, Have a Cool “Lost” Connection- They Appeared w/ Mark Pellegrino in a Play Scott Wrote!

As mentioned in the show notes for our “Hawaii In Vermont” Finale podcast, Listener, Bill was kind enough to point out some cool trivia about the actor playing O’Reilly, the Bomb Seller who Danny hits with Pepper Spray.

Val Lauren is an old friend of Scott’s who attended acting school with him.. He tells a heartfelt story at Boy Culture, about being with Scott on 9/11 and how he vowed to write a play about it. They in fact did to appear in New York City in the play Scott wrote, along with Mark Pellegrino, of “Lost” fame (aka Jacob) and you can see a video clip of that play from 10 years ago below.

Caution: Expletives are not deleted!

In another interesting coincidence, Val will soon be starring in a movie produced and directed by James Franco where he will be portraying famed movie icon of the 50′s and 60′s, Sal Mineo,  the actor most famous for co-starring with James Dean in “Rebel Without A Cause.”   This is a coincidence for Five-0′ers because Sal Mineo also appeared in an episode in 1968 of the original Hawaii Five-0. Watch him in this clip below:
