Rutina Wesley (Tara Thornton) is officially joining Arrow Season 4! Earlier this week, The Wrap reported that the actress was in talks to join the series which will return October 7th on the CW. The only specifics available were that it was a multi-episode arch. But that's all we knew...until today! Entertainment Weekly revealed who Rutina will be playing in a report published earlier today.
Rutina will be playing aka Lady Cop. In the DC comics universe, Lady Cop comes from The Atom comics and makes six appearances. Liza Warner decides to enroll in the police academy after witnessing the murder of her roommates from under the bed by someone in cowboy boots.
Arrow will be taking a different tact however. Warner will be part of an anti-vigilante task force which may be a problem for Oliver Queen.
Rutina joins a flurry of new actors cast for the upcoming fourth season including Neal McDonough (as Damien Darhk), Alexander Calvert (as Anarky), Echo Kellum (as Mr. Terrific), Jimmy Akingbola (as Baron Reiter), Jeri Ryan (as Jessica Danforth), Parker Young (as Alex Davis) and Elysia Rotaru (as a love interest for Oliver in the flashbacks).
