Man! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months already since I started the Post of the Week. Where does the time go!? When I started this blog it was to be 2 posts per week, now between guest posts, interviews and reviews there’s barely a week day that doesn’t have a post! Whew. Next week is already booked up but I’m hoping to cut back to 2 or 3 posts per week soon so I can get “SEX, Not as a Separate Subject” finished and released! What do you think? Do lot’s of posts just get annoying? Or you do you enjoy blogs that post almost daily?
This week was nuts. First I had an awesome guest post on parenting by Daan van den Bergh, Tuesday I posted my interview with author, artist and musician Rory Mackay, on Wednesday I returned the favor with a guest post about honesty on Daan’s blog. Yesterday I debunked some Masturbation Myths and today we have the POW! All the while I’ve been pounding away at the latest book and planning a house move! Someone give me a back rub, please ^_^
Well enough about me! It’s time for this weeks POW which comes from the wise and witty world of Jen and Tonic! I know that many bloggers, myself included, sometimes wonder what it’s all about. Why are we blogging? Is it worth it? Do we consider our blog a success? And then every now and then something occurs that totally justifies the time and effort we put into our online writing, something that makes us realize that without blogging we would never have met certain special people, and experienced certain special moments.
Although any reference to “under-boob sweat” would be enough to automatically qualify a post to become a POW, Jen’s post has so much more than that. We bloggers tend to get caught up on stats and metrics, but stats and metrics do not tell the whole story. Our success as bloggers comes from the connections we make, the influences we have on people and the moments we share. Take it away Jen, click to read The Measure of Success!
