The upcoming Grand Theft Auto Online Freemode Events Update isn't coming to Xbox 360 and PS3, but that doesn't mean other content updates will also skip the old generation systems, Rockstar has said.
"The Freemode Events Update is only for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. As we'd mentioned previously in our Asked & Answered series here at the Newswire future content updates like this one would only be possible on the newer and more powerful systems," explains Rockstar in a blog post.
The key point here is Rockstar specifying "future content like this", indicating that other less technically demanding content updates may still be released on PS3 and Xbox 360.
When Rockstar announced Freemode Events it said the update takes "full advantage of the latest generation of consoles and PC hardware, there are no menus, lobbies, or load times".
