Now, with warmer weather fast approaching, what better way is there to celebrate than by hitting the road for a fabulous few days of freedom? The only thing that might put you off is the packing and planning, but there's no need to panic. With the right packing tips, travel accessories and panning advice, you'll soon be raring to go.
Ride in style
There's no point in fussing over your outfit choices if the vehicle you're driving is not up to standard. It's important that your chosen vehicle has the right amount of space for the luggage you plan on taking. If you're in the market for a new car, then make sure to do your research before you take the plunge. You want something with plenty of space, a powerful engine, an aircon for long hot journeys, and wheels that can handle rough terrain. If you're not going in your car, make sure you know what your friend is driving!
Pack like a proNow that you know what car you'll be traveling in, it's easy to just throw everything into a suitcase and hope for the best. But you'll soon regret it when you're unable to find your phone charger in a boot filled with shoes you have no intention of wearing. That's why it's important to consider everything you're taking with you. It's a safe bet to stick with two pairs of shoes only; a comfortable pair of road-trip suitable sneakers, and some sandals. Make sure they are in good condition in case you need to interchange them for a casual evening look.
Then do the same with jackets, sweaters, and pants. You'll find that you tend to stick to a rotation of 3-5 of these items in your daily life anyway, so this shouldn't be a hard choice. Shirts and underwear will be the items you'll be packing the most of, as they usually need a change every day. Pack a light shirt for every day of the trip, and as many pairs of underwear as the nights you are staying.

If you don't wear it in your everyday life, chances are you won't wear it on your trip - besides the occasional outdoor activity gear wear of course. The best way to save space when packing is to use the Marie Kondo method. Once you're able to fit everything into one suitcase and in the boot of your car, you'll be happy to tackle the road ahead, in style!
