Rise Up Against the Soul Sucking Humorless Anti Humans as They Try to Steal Our Joy and Our Comedy Shows!

By Midlifemargaritas @mdlifemargarita

You know who I’m referring to right? The soul sucking robots who have no sense of humor at all and are the most boring people in the world. They are everywhere like they were unleashed from some sort of Labatory that drains the laughing genes from a person’s heart and head. It’s getting pretty scary out there, not knowing when they will end all the memes and funny will just be a word, we are no longer allowed to say out loud. Talk about your Mad Max scenario.

As you may know, Midlife Margaritas has a meme page on Facebook. Sometimes we go a little overboard when sharing a meme or posting a funny. Yep, we’ve been known to cross the line a few times. But there will always be trolls who have no sense of humor and can’t wait to start a shitshow in the comments. My question is, what makes someone like that respond at all? Is there something in their brain that says, “tell them they are bad for posting such things and maybe they will stop being bad”? If I don’t think something is funny or I think something is in bad taste, I just scroll. Because what would I gain from responding to it? Except HATE from the poster and the fans. Why would I want that? So not only is it weird to respond but knowing you are going to get hate, does that mean you need attention so bad that you’ll do that? Get a therapist!

We (everyone) need to giggle and really, and we need a good belly laugh every day. It’s literally therapeutic. If something isn’t funny to you, keep looking but don’t rain on everyone else’s parade. People are now going to comedy shows (paying for tickets) to stand up and tell the comedian that he’s out of line or not funny or offensive. Seriously? Did they do zero research on who they paid to see perform? Who let’s these people out of their houses?

Then there are the people that don’t understand humor. I haven’t figured out what to do with them yet. They read a meme, then respond with what I could have done to avoid the situation in the meme (not reality). It’s like they think I actually did what the meme said (like eating smores with a monkey and getting marshmallows in my hair) and how I could have avoided that. IT’S A MEME. IT’S NOT REAL!

I don’t know what goes wrong for some people. They like and follow my blog and/or meme page and then proceed to tell me I am an awful person for making fun of things. Then they want to TELL me they have to unfollow me. Because I am a terrible person. Some of my posts are my real-life storylines or opinions and everyone has the equal opportunity to scroll on by.

Secretly I have to admit it gives a me a little buzz of excitement when the trolls and humorless people start the drama. I’m all like, oh hold up! Let me grab another coffee or margarita and see how this turns out! The last one ended with someone posting that everyone who found a certain post funny were all conspiracy theorist. My eyes rolled so hard into the back of my head I thought they would stay there permanently. Where in the world did their lives go so badly?

So go post your comments and shout to the world how inappropriate my posts are but really the sad thing is not being able to at least chuckle or just scroll by. Quietly. Negativity and Ugliness will never change the world. But laughter and bottomless margaritas will. (You can quote me on that)

Peace Love and Margaritas!
