Every year, my boys look forward to the publication of the annual Ripley’s Believe It or Not! book. In fact, they are so crazy about Ripley’s that we had to be sure to visit the Ripley’s Museum in St. Augustine when we were there last summer. In the annual books, they love to look at the strange pictures and read the wild facts and stories. I like that they are willingly picking up a book!This year’s edition is called Dare to Look! The 245 pages in this enormous full-color book feature things like:

Squirrel Stuck in a Manhole
Snowboarding Opossum
Of course, there is much more than animals inside Dare to Look! Weird food, art, feats, sports, popular culture, bodies, and many other sights can be seen. (Justin Bieber’s portrait created out of cheese … let’s hear it for Justin “Brie-ber”!) It appears there’s nothing people won’t do for shock value!
