It’s a good thing I do not make New Year’s resolutions. Had I resolved to post more exhibits in 2019, I would be failing miserably.
Today we have a fun item, one of the items I use as proof of my statement that Harveyana spans many other fields of collectibles. Character glassware is very collectible, and has been for at least as long as I have been alive. I remember as a child convincing my parents to take me to Burger King just to buy Star Wars glasses!
While it does not say so on the glass, it is well known that the Pepsi Collector Series glasses were made by a company named Brockway Glass, and that six Harvey characters were made. Collectibles website Worthpoint shows this specific glass, with the interesting notation that “This is the Thick Glass variety.” Is there a thin glass variety? This is the kind of question the Harvey Mercheum was designed to answer!
