RG @natgeo: “Whenever I saw him, I hid. I hated to see him,” Tahani (in pink) recalls of the early days of her marriage to Majed, when she was 6 and he was 25. The young wife posed for this portrait with former classmate Ghada, also a child bride, outside their mountain home in Hajjah. This image, shot on assignment for National Geographic, is now part of our Too Young to Wed traveling exhibition, which will be shown at the London School of Economics from 21 July - 1 August 2014. The exhibition is part of the Girl Summit 2014, hosted by the British government aimed mobilizing domestic and international efforts to end female genital mutilation and child, early and forced marriage within a generation.
