Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm Striking

Hello makeupholics!
Summer has officially arrived in Hyderabad and I share a love-hate relationship with this season - I hate long power cuts, scorching sun, sweat, humidity and I love flaunting dresses, hats, flowy gowns, eating watermelons, etc. During summer, I don't like applying heavy coverage foundation as the makeup melts down (hyderabad's weather I tell you) instead I just go with concealer for under eye dark circles, some loose powder and a bright popping color for my lips and ta-da I'm ready to go!
Today I'm reviewing one of my favorite summer lipstick - The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Striking.

Packaging
The Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm comes in a twist-up crayon packaging, the color coded tube of the lipcolor makes them easy to locate. I love twist up crayons, because sharpening crayons leads to product wastage. The cap shuts tightly and will not open up while traveling. It easily fits in my jeans and clutch and I can carry it around with ease.

Texture
Revlon Matte Balm has a very soft and smooth texture, there is no tugging pr pulling and it glides easily on the lips. The matte lipcolor has a satin finish on the lips and despite the matte formula, it doesn’t parch out or dry the lips. However, it accentuate dry/flaky bits of lip lines like most matte lip-colors and one need to exfoliate lips beforehand. I found the formula comfortable to wear and fairly long lasting.

Pigmentation
Revlon colorburst Lip colors are intensely pigmented and a single stroke gives opaque coverage and covers pigmented lips pretty well.
Staying Efficacy
Revlon Balms have decent staying power of 5 hours, although there is a little fading on the inner rim when you have drinks or soup and I do feel like reapplying the color at this point.

Overall verdict
Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms have decently comfortable matte formula that is long wearing without being unforgiving on the lips, I absolutely love it! If you have very dry lips, a little lip balm before application would help solve dryness issue. I personally love matte lipsticks over creamy/glossy finish lip products on myself because it lasts longer on lips. All you need some exfoliation beforehand.
