Review: Sulwhasoo Snowise Brightening UV Protection (Peach)

By Beautifulbuns

One of my makeup hacks for hustling in the morning is using a sunblock that multitasks as a primer – the last awesome one I had was Cle de Peau’s Tinted UV in rose shade. Since it totes awed me, I decided to move on to other tinted sunblocks (versus the usual whitish tinge).

I say…

The Packaging: A tube with a heavy cap that actually serves well in stabilising the product, but can be a little clunky to twist back – think of trying to fit a huge knob onto a small screw (the nozzle).

The Scent: Signature herbal Sulwhasoo scent which I love.

The Texture/Application: It glides on smoothly, and blends easily into the skin. It’s got a rather dewy and hydrating finish, and doesn’t give an ashy/odd tinge. In fact, even though it’s tinted with peach, it barely has any tint.

The Verdict: It’s an okay sunblock in its own right. As a makeup primer, it’s not so awesome – it doesn’t even out skintone nor work as a color corrector cos it’s really sheer. In addition, because of its dewy and hydrating finish, makeup has a slightly higher tendency to slide off a little earlier than usual (on my oily combi skin). However, if you’re looking for a pure sunscreen product, or if you’ve got dry skin, this will work well for you cos of its moisturising qualities. It can be slightly on the pricey side though (I think it’s SGD$90+) – even though I’m an incorrigible Kbeauty fanatic and a longtime Sulwhasoo fan, there’s definitely cheaper alternatives for a sunblock,
