I am a noob when it comes to nails. My job doesn't allow me to have pretty nails or wear polish so products like these are a god send for someone like me. I have dabbled in press on nails in the past but have always been put off by the damage caused by those little vials of glue. The damage to your nails never seemed to be worth the hassle. However the Ultra Adhesive Tabs from Nailene* has changed all this!

The Adhesive Tabs makes the process of applying press on nails so simple even a complete nail novice can achieve pretty polished nails in under 5 minutes. You simply choose the correct size adhesive tab for your nail, making sure it doesn't touch the sides of your nail or cuticle, peel back the adhesive backing and press on the nail. That's it! The bond is surprisingly strong too- I only tested these out for a night so I can't confirm the 5 day wear guarantee but if you are wearing them for a day or two or for a special occasion I think these are perfect!

I love the Couture Design Nails* - featured here is Platinum (71064). I would never be able to create a design like this myself and for a night out I wouldn't spend the money on a professional manicure so I love these!

My favourites however are the So Natural Everyday French*. If you aren't used to having nails (like myself) these are a little shorter and obviously a more natural look. I found the shape of these fit my own nail better and the shorter length didn't annoy me as much as I am not used to nails.

Some tips which I think might help those applying nails like these for the first time:
1. Organise the nails you want to use for each hand BEFORE you start playing with the adhesive. It makes application much faster if you aren't trying to fiddle with nail sizes whilst the adhesive is on your nails.
2. Choose an adhesive tab suitable for the size of your nail- if the adhesive touches the side of the nail or the cuticle it can cause air bubbles under the nails and looks untidy.
3. Rather than lifting the nail up to remove- simply slide the nail forward and the adhesive will roll off too. This helps to minimise damage to the nail as well. Any remaining glue comes off easily with nail polish remover.
You can purchase Nailene online at nailene.com.au or from Priceline and major discount department stores.
