Review: Biore UV Aqua Rich Whitening Watery Cream

By Vivianism @vivianism

Okay it’s been a week since I last blogged!
Now that I’ve started working, I’m left with little time to blog. Honestly, blogging isn’t a very easy task. As a beauty blogger, I gotta take time off to try the products (and also give my skin ample rest time before embarking on the next trial), then I gotta take pictures and edit them before I can post on my blog and write about them. An entry always took me about an hour to write. Not that I’m complaining, but just to let you know why I haven’t been blogging recently. =p

I still do love blogging, so I’ll still be here! Sign up to receive updates through e-mail so that you won’t waste your time checking my site only to find out that I haven’t blog. Hehe.

Like water, I can’t live without sunscreen. And Biore is the only drugstore brand which I always go back to at the end of the day. (I mean their sunscreen products.) This time round, I was sponsored Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Cream Whitening in SPF 50+.

During the extremely warm and humid weather, I’m especially happy to give sunscreen that provides whitening effect a try. Having tried Aqua Rich Sunscreen and receive positive results, I have high expectation for this sunscreen!

Unfortunately this sunscreen did not perform as well as Aqua Rich Sunscreen. Firstly, the size is a lot smaller as compared to Aqua Rich. Although this is cheaper, I would still prefer a larger packaging so that I don’t have to keep buying it frequently.

Secondly, the texture of the cream isn’t as watery as Aqua Rich. In fact, it felt a bit more creamy which is not that easy to spread as compared to Aqua Rich. I find myself reaching out for makeup primer for a smoother foundation application.

Thirdly, this sunscreen is light but not as light as Aqua Rich Sunscreen. There is slight white cast on the skin and more dewy looking than Aqua Rich. (Although I’m okay with it, I’m not sure about you though.)

However, there are still two good things about this sunscreen that is worth mentioning and it’s better than Aqua Rich Cream:

Firstly, this sunscreen uses physical filter such as Zinc Oxide. This means it is less irritable to sensitive skin.

Secondly, oil control from this sunscreen is good! I find my makeup still intact at the end of the day and my skin doesn’t look very oily as well!

Overall, I would give this sunscreen a 3/5. (And guess what? I would still buy it on my own cos I love its oil control properties without making my skin dry.)
