Maybelline Superstay 14 Hr Lipstick in Eternal Rose
Eternal RoseEternal Rose shadeThe formula is velvety matte and enhances dry, chapped lips in case lips are not moisturized. These lipsticks are not made to moisturize your lips, you are supposed to do it. But they are not made to make them dry either. SO don't worry. These are made to hug your lips and stick to it as long as they can. Eternal Rose was a different story. I'll tell you why. I took this for a test drive and after a couple of hours, fortunately or unfortunately I had to eat Chinese food. Food was yum but Eternal Rose became patchy and just vanished from the lip area I slurped the noodle and the soup. You wanna see that? See below among other pictures. I can not comment on how long it stayed because I lost hope that it would stay with my after gorging on food, and I can not expect myself eat nothing for 14 hrs.
Odor is candy-like and tastes like nothing. This is very unusual pink and I think I have cracked the shade which is Infinitely Fuchsia+Keep Me Coral. It comes in the same clear plastic twist tube that other Superstay lipsticks come in. Removing this lipstick was the easiest task to do.
My last thoughts - Eternal Rose is a pretty warm pink shade that will suit Indian skin tones without a doubt. But staying power may be an issue. Not sure if my particular piece is faulty or all Eternal Roses are the same for instance Infinitely Fuchsia has tiny bumps on it. I have seen on a lot of blogs. mine had too. See here
From a buyers point of view, if you really have some kind of crush on this shade or simply hoard on lipsticks then go for this one otherwise pass it.
