Reading’s Are You Listening? Festival 2018 adds new bands including Field Music

Reading’s incredible Are You Listening? Festival 2018 has now added Field Music, Warm Digits and Spectral Nights favourites Carnival Youth to its line-up. Taking place in various venues throughout the city on Saturday 28 April, the event (in aid of Reading Mencap) will also see performances from Idles, Her’s, AK/DK and the fantastically named Have you Ever Seen the Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS?, as well of a hand-picked selection of the country’s other finest new alternative bands.

Plump DJs, Steve Lamacq and Phil Taggart will also all be making appearances – and there’s still so much more to be announced. The organisers pledge to ensure 70% of the line-up is from Reading and the surrounding Berkshire area so you’re bound to discover some new favourites, especially as Are You Listening? Festival has partnered with Dork magazine. The festival also proudly supports the important work of Girls Against in standing up against sexual harassment and intimidation in live music.

The current line-up (in alphabetical order) is:

The Ady Baker Sound / AK/DK / Animal House / Ash the Author / The August List / The Autumn Saints / Carnival Youth / Deerful / Drug Store Romeos / Eat Daddy Eat / Ever Hazel / Febueder / Field Music / Have You Ever Seen the Jane Fonda Aerobic VHS? / Here are the Young Men and Uncle Peanut / Her’s / Idles / Mush / Nobodies Birthday / Phil Taggart (BBC Radio 1) / Plump DJs / Saltwater Sun / Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music) / Tiger Mendoza / Tiny Giant / Twin Sun / Vienna Ditto / Vinyl Staircase / Warm Digits / Yonaka
