The lightest shade in the whole L'Oreal Rouge Magique Instense Matte Lipstick is Mont Blanc, the darkest shade is The Fort, while Purple Comtesse has this sangria wine shade going on. It glides on smoothly upon application that will make you think if it is indeed a matte lipstick. The formulation of these lipsticks made it easier to apply and glides on smoothly onto the lips.
I was a bit disappointed, though, when I finally tried it on only to see that it doesn't have the intense matte finish I was expecting. In my opinion, this falls in semi-matte finish as there is something dewy about. I am not complaining, though. It's probably the reason why it is not as drying compared to other matte lipsticks out there.
Mont Blanc is definitely my favorite. It has this nude-pink shade that is perfect for an everyday look. I just noticed that it tends to get darker when I applied it on my lips. Still, the color turns out really great and compliments my morena skin tone. The Fort and Purple Comtesse are great for a dramatic and sexy look. The three have a very opaque color that it covers discoloration of my lips. Longevity is never an issue; it stays on for a good 6 hours, will start fading at 4, but without the need to re-apply. Yes, it transfers, but very minimal.
