PunkinWrap Can Be Used as a Nursing Cover, Car Seat Cover, Blanket…

By Upliftingfam @upliftingfam

punkinwrapAs a mom, I love finding versatile products that have multiple purposes.  I remember when my youngest son was born, his diaper bag was stuffed full and it was rather heavy to carry around.  I always carried an extra blanket, changing pad, diapers, wipes, several outfits, a blanket that I used to cover up with so that I could nurse my son in public, pacifiers, and breast pads.   The PunkinWrap can easily replace three items in your diaper bag, reducing the amount of items that you have to carry in your baby’s diaper bag.  In fact, I really wish that I had a PunkinWrap when my youngest son was born.  I highly recommend this for mothers who plan on breastfeeding and protecting their baby from strangers while out running errands.

Disclosure:  I received a PunkinWrap in exchange for a product review.  All opinions in this post are 100% my own and I wouldn’t recommend a product that I didn’t like.

Nursing Cover

I always used a blanket to cover up with when I nursed my children in public.  The blanket worked great during the first few weeks but as my baby got older it got harder to keep the blanket draped over my should.  Plus, my babies got to the point where they no longer enjoyed being covered up while nursing.  This resulted in them trying to pull or kick the blanket off.  If they managed to knock the blanket off my shoulder, it left me exposed to the world.  I am all for mother’s nursing in public uncovered as long as they are comfortable.  I personally wasn’t comfortable enough to breastfeed my baby uncovered in public.  The PunkinWrap comes with an adjustable neck strap that hooks onto the blanket easily.  The neck strap is completely removable so that you don’t accidentally lose it when you are using the PunkinWrap for other purposes.

Car Seat Cover or Sun Shade

I never invested in a car seat cover for any of my children; however, it is the one item that I wish I had especially when when they were a newborn.  It always bothered me when strangers wanted to get too close and I think if I had a car seat cover on the car seat that it would have prevented people from getting to close to my baby.  A car seat cover can also protect your baby from being exposed to the flu, viruses, or other contagious illnesses that could potentially be harmful or dangerous to a newborn. The PunkinWrap easily attaches to any car seat using BPA free plastic rings or you can toss it over an infant car seat.  The cover is large protect your baby from the sun’s harmful rays, inclement weather, and prevents strangers from touching your baby.

Blanket

Are you tired of your baby kicking off their blanket while you are driving in the car or taking a stroll in the stroller?   I always used a blanket to cover up my baby while in the car or while we were out running errands.  If it was too windy outside often times my blanket would fly off leaving my baby unprotected and vulnerable to the elements.  The PunkinWrap easily attaches to your baby’s car seat or stroller using the plastic rings so that your baby can’t kick their blanket off.  Of course, you can also use it to swaddle, cover your baby, use it for tummy time, or even use to lay your baby on while changing their diaper.

The PunkinWrap comes in a wide variety of colors and style to choose from.  Your wrap comes in a cute PunkinPouch and was designed to hold the wrap, neck strap, and 8 BPA free plastic rings.  As a mom, I am always looking for ways to reduce the amount of items that I am carrying in my diaper bag.  I love finding products that serve multiple purposes.

Cons

  • More Color Options
  • Cost

The cost of the PumpkinWrap could seem overwhelming.  After researching the cost of a car seat cover and the nursing covers, I discovered the price is very reasonable and it is made in the USA.  If you use the wrap for all of the purposes above you can actually save money.  A car seat cover can easily set you back anywhere from $9.99 to $76.99 and a nursing cover can set you back anywhere from $13.00 to $39.99.  As you can see, the PumpkinWrap is very affordable option.
