Public Says NO To Trump's Impeachment (And Re-Election)
The charts above reflect the results of the Monmouth University Poll -- the latest being done between August 16th and 20th of a national sample of 800 adults, with a margin of error of 3.5 points.
This poll makes it pretty clear that Democrats have not convinced the public that Donald Trump should be impeached. They say NO to impeachment by a 24 point margin (35% for to 59% against).
That does not mean that the public supports Trump and wants him as their president though. By an 18 point margin (39% yes and 57% no), they say they don't think Trump should be re-elected.
That is kind of confusing. The public doesn't want him impeached, but also doesn't want him to remain as president. Why? Could it be that a significant number of Americans just don't want to give up the pleasure of voting against Trump (and watching him explode as the returns come in)?
