A few months ago I told you all about a new website, Market Fayre. Well recently they have launched their Food Discovery Box.
The box can be ordered on a one off for £25.50 or as a monthly subscription box for £23.50 and consists of about 5 different products allowing you to ‘discover’ you way through new producers, flavours and products. You can tailor your box to you, either by notifying the website of any dislikes or allergies, looking through the site and choosing products or a type of product, or just leaving everything to the element of surprise!
So lets have a look at what I got in my surprise box.
Popcorn Kitchen Sweet/Salt flavour. I’m more of a sweet popcorn person but this was a really good balance of the two and I really enjoyed it!
Smoked rocksalt – with a salt grinder as well. Lee and I are loving experimenting with smoking things at the moment, so this is a great addition to our pantry!
We are very familiar with Pips Hot sauce, and have tried all her range over the last 12months, so this was less of a ‘discovery’ for us but none the less a very welcome sight as we recently finished out bottle of this flavour sauce. Result!
I’m looking forward to using this lemon curd – probably in a lemon cake. I’ve not heard of Tregunter before, so interested to see how they compare to other lemon curds we’ve tried.
I’m a big rapeseed oil fan – we use loads of it at home and infused ones are even better (like I’ve talked about here) and we’re almost down to our last drop of garlic one. Again this is a company I’ve not heard of, so am looking forward to tasting it.
Last but not least some Olives from Silver & Green. Really good quality olives. Lee will wolf these down if I let him as he loves rosemary so I will keep these hidden at the back of the fridge!
I really liked the box, there were some really great products and I love discovering new producers, so if your anything like me, you will love these boxes.
