[Press Release]Himanshu Saini Wins Rohini Dey’s Chef Search in Delhi for Amazing Culinary Talent

Delhi, 30 April 2013 – The 26years old talented Himanshu Saini from Delhi, who presented a dish Sarson Ka Saag Qusedilla with Butter Milk foam, beat his fellow contestants during the live cook-off on which they were given 2.5 hours to cook and plate their dishes.  He was crowned the winner of an exciting salary of upto $70,000 to work at a renowned restaurant Vermilion in New York & Chicago plus US permanent residency sponsorship.

The renowned judges Rohini Dey, Sharmila Tagore, Marryam Reshii, Karen Anand, Rocky Mohan & Anoothi Vishal reviewed each participant on 3 criteria’s: taste, presentation, Indian-Latin creativity attributing ten points each to these qualities.
 
The presentation, flavor, originality and creativity was what gave him an added edge over his fellow participants & garnered a score of 128 points from the judges. The Judges were extremely impressed with his beautiful presentation, mix of Indian & Latin flavours and his cooking skills.
 
After he was adjudged as the ultimate winner, Rohini Dey said: “Today marks a wonderful achievement in the culmination of Indian talent and we are thrilled to congratulate Himanshu on a superb performance and he is definitely a worthy winner.”

The winner said: “I am unbelievably excited, not every aspiring chef has the opportunity to work at such a wonderful restaurant in the US and receive support and guidance from a renowned restaurateur like Rohini Dey! I look forward to showcasing my style of food and creativity. I can’t wait to start working at Vermilion”.

Besides winning this live cook-off challenge at Q’BA, Connaught Place Himanshu and Aseema will receive a salary of up to $70,000, a chance to work at 2 highly lauded kitchens in New York & Chicago and grow his/her culinary skills, an opportunity for a US permanent residency sponsorship and leading Vermilion expansion opportunities.
