Like other sports, the captain 'Skipper' is the leader of the team and has a very significant role in the game of Cricket also, the main objective and responsibility for the present captain of Test, ODI, and T20 formats are to enforce to perform their best cricket skills from the teammates so that they can always clinch the wins for the team.

Always It is a matter of great honor and prestige for any cricketer to be named as the captain of the team. the responsibility of taking charge of the captain of the team is given to that cricketer whom the rest of the team's members seems with respect and rely on them to take the team in the right direction.
However, along with this prestigious designation, a captain also has a big responsibility on his shoulders. An ideal captain should be accountable for any type of his inferior performance or any other exercises.
The captains of all formats of cricket have more liabilities and responsibilities in playing cricket matches in comparison to other teammates on the team. Usually, the main eligibility for the appointment of any cricketer as a captain requires that he should be a permanent cricketer of the team and should be a well-experienced cricketer with having good knowledge of the rules and regulations of the ICC, who has good communication skills and holds the good unbiased understanding with all the teammates of the team.

On 2nd August 2018, he changed his surname from 'Asghar Stanikzai' to 'Asghar Afghan'.
In May 2018, for Afghanistan's first Test match played against India, he was appointed as the captain of the Afghanistan team. On 14 June 2018, he made his Test debut against India at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.

Kraigg Brathwaite was born at the house of his parent named Chesterfield Brathwaite 'Father' and Joycelyn Brathwaite 'Mother' on 01 December 1992 in Bridgetown the capital of Barbados.
He has completed his childhood education in a parish in Bridgetown city of Barbados.
He is such a second West Indian batsman who scores two half-centuries in a Test match at the age of below 19 years.

Kieron Pollard became the first cricketer in the world to play 500 T20 international matches in March 2020, although his game is compatible and limited to the T20 and ODI formats, and has never played Test cricket in his cricketing career.

His mother's name is Patricia McKillop and she was a former hockey player who was the player of that national squad of Zimbabwe who won the gold medal at the Summer Olympics in the year1980.
Sean Williams's stepbrother named Michael McKillop is also a first-class cricketer in Zimbabwe. In 2015, he was married to Chantelle Dexter in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.

Qualities of a good captain.

  • It is often seen in the world that a wicket-keeper has more possibility to be the superior captain as compared to a batsman or a bowler or an all-rounder because he is always closest to the wicket. Due to being closest to the pitch, a wicket-keeper has the maximum opportunity to assess the batting pattern, bowling conditions, and behavior of the wicket.
