Pranic Healing and Ayurvedic Management of Cancer

Posted on the 01 June 2021 by Dr Vikram Chauhan @Planetayurveda9

Abstract

Cancer is the scariest disease known to man because it creeps in unnoticed to the deepest levels of the body where it may not be cured from. Diseases like cancer are deadly not only because of their own nature but also because of the side effects of techniques involved in their treatment. Healing based on energy exchange, energy channelization and energy intensification can effectively manage cancer; supported by plant-based medications that could replace chemically manufactured ones. This article throws light on Pranic healing, its relevance in the management of cancer, and some herbal medication combinations that could combat cancer.

Introduction to Pranic Healing

Healing refers to restoration of health and equilibrium within an individual, within a society or within the universe. Spiritual healing sounds like a ghost story in today's world, but it wasn't so in the ancient times. This is so because people were more aware of the subtle and invisible energies present around us all at all times. With the development of the society as a more physical and material luxury-oriented and less of mental and spiritual one, spiritual healing practices feel like supernatural incidents where only the one who has experienced it, believes it.

Thankfully with the spread of Yoga and Ayurveda around the globe, people have experienced that subtle bodily auras and sheaths do really exist, and this has developed people's faith and interest in spiritualism recently.

Coming back to healing, healing is of many kinds; it could be distant healing, where the healer and the sick are away from each other and vibes are sent by the healer. It could be touch healing, where the healer hovers their hands above the sick's body and may also touch it gently at points that need it.

Pranic healing works on the concept of prana, originating from the concept of subtle body sheaths. According to yoga anatomy and physiology, the body that we see is the physical body and contains within it many other layers that we cannot see with naked eye. The pranic body lies within the physical body and responds to whenever a spiritual person is somewhere in the vicinity of the body, however spiritually unaware the person may be. Prana is the mechanism working in pranic healing.

What is Prana?

Prana is the Sanskrit term for breath. But, like most upanishadic terms, prana also carries deeper meanings than that conveyed in its conversational use. Prana is the life force as conveyed by the Prashnopanishad; prana runs all the processes in the universe and prana created the universe out of itself. When in the beginning there was nothing, neither life nor death, neither truth nor the untrue, neither space nor the sky, neither the earth nor fire, even prana itself was not in manifest form; at that time when there was no value of time, then prana created this universe and each component that constitutes it. Pranic healing relies on this sole principle that prana is the unmanifest form of God and resides within each particle of the universe. Hence prana is the one that makes us alive, and prana can heal us.

Prana is energy. Ancient meditators and wise men have held prana in such a respectable position because prana actually has abilities to transform into just anything. This power of transformability of prana is used in pranic healing, where the healer gathers energy y going into a meditative state and transfers it to the sick so that their vitiated prana is rejuvenated and deteriorated health is restored.

Relevance of Pranic Healing in Cancer

Genetic and immune disorders are usually incurable and very heavy medications are used to treat them. In particular for cancer, the radiation used for destroying cancer cells is so potent that it also affects healthy cells adversely, giving rise to a plethora of side-effects, both long term and immediate. The mental factor in such diseases is crucial; especially during treatment. Therefore a relaxative approach should be followed in addition to natural medications instead of high dose chemical and radioactive ones.

Pranic healing does not only work at the core of the disease where it is originating, but also manages it via the more powerful gateway - that is the mental factor. People receiving Pranic healing have responded better to other treatment going on simultaneously. It has helped them stay calm and positive throughout the course of the treatment in more than a few aspects.

  • It strengthens one's will power to live.
  • It relieves physical tension and fatigue developed deep inside the body.
  • It sorts out stressful thoughts that could hamper the body's response towards treatment.
  • It channels dormant energy lying within the body.
  • It eradicates all malignant subtle physiological processes going on in the deeper levels of the body.

Cancer is as minute as the cells and so is Prana. Pranic healing therefore may not be visible to the eye but it definitely works. It is not so that one is healed because they believe, rather, one starts believing after they are healed.

Conclusion

Sometimes we fail to properly diagnose and treat diseases and label them as incurable or fatal; whereas sometimes changing the mode of treatment can show dramatic improvement in one's condition especially when the disease originates at cellular level, and treatments employed are working only superficially. The point is that instead of relying on techniques that are too artificial and so intense that they have more side effects than benefits, more subtle healing techniques should be used as an integrated approach for treatment of cancer. Pranic healing has gained popularity because it has worked wonders in the treatment of multiple cancers. [1] Hopefully we can make use of Pranic healing in all autoimmune and incurable diseases.
