POLKA DOT SWING DRESS- ALL IN AN HOURS TIME ( Behind the Scenes )

As much as I a look forward to my photoshoot days, which happens only twice a month, there are times when it doesn't go as planned. There is no denying that a lot goes pre and post photoshoot days, but there is always behind the scenes that never gets accounted for. 
For instance, I shot this picture last week when the weather forecast predicted cloudy and early showers. The hourly weather called for no rains after 10:30 am and that is when I stepped out to take these pictures.  These pictures were taken in Georgetown DC, close to my office, where I would usually change my clothes when  shooting multiple outfits. So lets bring into light a few behind the scenes mayhem..

•  I walked into my office building just to find out that the construction contractor was visiting  the site and the building was locked down, which meant no access to the bathrooms, which also meant changing in the car- all five outfits!
• This was my second outfit in the row. Since it was going to be cloudy and humid the entire day, my hair had already urned frizzy and uncontrollable, right after my first outfit was done. So I was left with no option other than making a bun coz I forgot to bring my hair curler for touchup. 
• This might not be the best bun you've seen coz this is my new hairstyle that I call- I TRIED ! When there is not enough hairpins and no hairspray coz you forgot both at home- this is what you get!
• When I am planning my outfits, I simultaneously brainstorm the location and backdrop of the photo. For this girly girl swing dress I knew the cupcake shop would be ideal. My idea was to shoot the outfit entirely inside the store- but when you forget your wallet in the other bag that is in the car a few blocks away and then you loan a cupcake to use as a prop, you end up with one single photo just coz you just feel embarrassed and angry drooling over that loaned cupcake that you know needs to be returned-----ughhhh!
• As if this was not enough, two minutes later it started to rain. Gosh, I didn't bargain for this when I decided to take the photoshoot outside- it was so not called for, just made my hair even worse. 
• And last but not the least, I don't like this outfit much but since I took so much pain in taking the pictures, I thought I might as well post it - just for the sake !
