Have you ever had mysterious body aches especially at your neck and shoulder area after you wake up? That is because you have been sleeping in an unnatural posture that does not support your spine nor neck. One time when I was sleeping, I woke up from a sprained neck. That was when I realized I had a horrible sleeping position. Things became better when I added a mattress topper to my bed. However, I still get neck and shoulder aches. That was when I started looking into contour pillows. Contour pillows support your spine and neck, allowing you to keep a good posture while you sleep.

If you find your partner's snoring disturbing your sleep, try getting them a contour pillow. Contour pillows help reduce pressure on the joints, keep the neck and back correctly aligned, reduces snoring and improve symptoms of sleep apnea.

Additionally, memory foam contour pillows are good for cooling and supporting your body. This made me gravitate towards the Sigmund Home Ergo Foam Tencel Pillow.

The pillow is covered with Italian Tencel fabric. The Tencel fabric is made from the pulp of Eucalyptus trees. This makes the pillow extra soft and breathable. The soft light grey fabric signifies that this is the surface for you to rest your head.

On the other side of the pillowcase was a rougher surface, signifying that the dark grey side is the bottom.

Sigmund Ergo Foam Tencel Pillow has advanced airflow technology allowing you to stay cool throughout the night. The memory foam not only helps contour your head but it also bounces back 7 times faster than ordinary memory foam. This means the pillow will never lose its shape, allowing the pillow to last longer.

The medium firm contour pillow has two lofts of different heights to cater to people of different body types. I tried out both the higher and lower loft for a few nights and I find that my spine aligned more comfortably with the lower loft under my neck.

In the past, I used to have neck and shoulder pains often. That lead me to invest in various neck and shoulders massager. I tend to toss and turn throughout the night, starting from sleeping on my back and rolling to my side after an hour. This made me confused about which pillow to sleep on since I am a combination sleeper. I decided to sleep on a contour pillow for I do spend a lot of time on my side. Although the contour pillow was made for side sleepers, I find it supports my neck well when I fall asleep on my back. Since my body get encompassed by my memory foam mattress topper, I do find myself with a stiff neck when I wake up if I used the side with the higher loft. Due to my petite body shape and small shoulders, the lower loft of the pillow was more suitable for me.

I like how the pillow cradles my head in the middle, allowing me to snuggle with the pillow. I could feel the firm support from the pillow as my spine remains in a neutral position. These days when I wake up, I no longer feel the ache and pain that I used to endure. The Sigmund Ergo Foam Tencel pillow was not only perfect for side sleepers but it is suitable for people of different body types too. Additionally, advanced airflow technology helped me sweat less as I sleep.
