Jason Wu Fall/Winter 2012
New York Fashion Week
February, 10

Jason Wu’s Pre-Fall 2012 collection look impressive and it was one of my favorite pre-fall collections, so I was waiting with anticipation for the full Fall/Winter 2012 collection. Am I let down? Most certainly not. The stage was dark, gloomy and very mysterious. The mist set in and out came the first model appearing from the big red door of mystery.

The collection started off with a palette of blacks with hints of gray. Fur was immediate feature in this collection and it gave off a fierce “don’t mess with me” kind of look. Then the first shade of real color was introduced and it was no surprise it would be a red. Then Jason Wu sent down some gorgeously divine gold/metallic and black pieces, including a metallic, printed trouser suit with a fur accent around the neck which sat on the shoulders. Towards the end of the collection, Jason Wu introduced some very feminine (almost Moulin Rouge inspired) garments in that shade of red we saw earlier on in the collection. It was very seductive, very suggestive, very sensual. I simply loved it. The silhouettes were sexy and fitting, showing off the models hips. I noticed that fur shoulders/sleeves were also used in this collection, similar to BCBG, so I am going to make a confident statement that fur is huge trend for this season.

The slick-back hair, leather gloves, glasses and clutches add so much to this collection and makes Jason Wu’s Fall/Winter 2012 collection my favorite - yet. A Jason Wu women is a women not be messed with.

A very Nice collection, defo food for thought on next winters trends, if your not really a fashion victim but more of a city goth with a touch of class. xoxo LLM
