Pantone Reveals The Color Of The Year For 2017
So, drum roll… The Pantone Color Institute has announced 2017’s Color of the Year and it’s — Pantone 15-0343, or “Greenery.” The color is said to be symbolic of new beginnings – “Greenery bursts forth in 2017 to provide us with the reassurance we yearn for amid a tumultuous social and political environment,” says Leatrice Wiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “Satisfying our growing desire to rejuvenate and revitalize, Greenery symbolizes the reconnection we seek with nature, one another and a larger purpose.”
The hue that is set to make an impact in fashion and design, and has already been seen in the spring 2017 collections at Balenciaga, Max Mara, Pucci, Michael Kors and Kenzo.
