Outflanking Boeing, French Safran Helps Rafale ‘Score A Goal’ Over Super Hornet For Indian Navy, Air Force Deal?

Safran Engineering’s plan to make a $ 150 million reshuffle care improvement facility in India overlaps with three other defense agreements: procurement of 114 ongoing jets for IAF; The choice of Indian Navy between Dassault Rafale and Boeing F/A-18 Super Hornet for its aircraft carriers and; Safran offer to participate in developing a 125 kilonewton (KN) push engine for India which is being developed Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA).

Interestingly, a day later, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (Hal) and Safran helicopter machines also signed an agreement to create a joint venture for the development, production, and support of helicopter machines.

According to the latest announcement by Safran Engineering CEO Olivier Andres, the planned facilities at Hyderabad will be able to handle up to 300 engine repair and repairs every year.

MRO facilities will also be the largest in India founded by the Global Aero-Mesin major. The construction will begin in 2023 and start operating in 2025. Safran’s largest MRO facilities are at his head office in France and Mexico.
